It doesn't twist in or tightened and with only perhaps 1/4" inserted, it wants to fall out frequently, so I now tape it together!

The ends are a bit hard to get together and I wish the cord was longer. We will use this on our door on our cruises and I would like to run the cord up over the top of the cabin door on the ship and anchor it on the inside of the door.
